2011 CrossFit Games - North Central Regional - Navy Pier

Tyler Sullivan has more than 14 years of training experience, including 3 years CrossFit-specific experience at gyms in Ohio and Wisconsin. He has also led basketball camps and youth camps with sport-specific training. Born and raised in Green Bay, WI, Tyler grew up playing multiple sports (basketball, football, baseball, karate and waterskiing) but his love for basketball in particular kept him active in order to make gains and take advantage on the court. However, focusing on the typical weightlifting schema and conditioning workouts set forth by his coaches and potential college choices proved average at best. It wasn’t until he discovered CrossFit that he began using it with his athletes-in-training, that he realized how quickly their fitness levels improved beyond expectation.

Along his CrossFit journey, Tyler studied and trained under and with numerous coaches, trainers and fellow top athletes — taking pieces of each to develop his own training style. Tyler also competed in the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games — placing 38th out of more than 1,000 individual athletes in his region during Open Sectionals;  and 33rd out of 60 athletes in the Regionals, held at Navy Pier in Chicago. At the finish of the competition, he ranked 379th out of more 25,000 athletes in the world. This experience helped him lead other athletes or wanna-be athletes on a journey to their goals.

In addition to his experience in the fitness realm, Tyler holds an Associate’s degree from NWTC in Computer Networking (CIS) and a Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in Business Management.
